La Sala hostel is located in the Lillet valley, in the province of Barcelona, which is an important area of forests in the Pre-Pyrenees near the source of the river Llobregat. It is ideally located in the surroundings of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and the magnificent Catllaràs mountain range. This location means it is possible to offer a wide range of quality activities which are of great interest, as well as being an ideal place for relaxation, leisure and hiking for both young and old.
Make your reservationLa Sala hostel is surrounded by red pine forests and is designed to host schools, both primary and secondary, leisure centres, sports groups wanting to prepare for the preseason, groups of friends, organizations and especially families with children, either for long weekends, weekends, summer or ski season.
The hostel has a dining room and four activity rooms, one of which has a projector and a screen ideal for group activities and workshops. Rooms with 4, 8 and 10 beds, each having an en-suite bathroom. In addition, there’s an outdoor swimming pool that is used during the summer months; open spaces for games and sports; a football pitch and a climbing wall.
*For this season 2025, the pool is expected to be available to all users between 01/06 and 31/08. When you contact the person in charge of the facility, they will inform you of any eventuality in this respect. If you wish to book the facility with pool availability outside these dates, please ask at the reservation centre.

The mining industry has left the valley marked by evidence of human activity, of which the Asland del Clot del Moro cement factory is a remaining example. It can be visited together with the Catllaràs chalet, works by Antoni Gaudí.
From the hostel you can make excursions on foot: thirty minutes to Sta. Cecília de Riutort, forty minutes to Clot del Moro, following the GR 4, one hour to La Pobla de Lillet, two hours to Falgars Sanctuary, and almost three hours to Gavarrós.
We should also mention a visit to the Llobregat springs, from where one of Catalonia’s most important rivers springs. There’s an easily accessible, short walk from Castellar de n’Hug, which leads us along a well signposted path to the Llobregat springs.
The Artigas Gardens, which were designed by Antoni Gaudí at the beginning of 20th century, is a place where nature and architecture merge in perfect harmony.
The Riutort petroleum mine, where you can learn about the process of extracting bituminous marl and obtaining petroleum by strolling through its galleries.
Cement train. This is a railway that used to connect the old Asland cement factory in Castellar de n’Hug with Guardiola de Berguedà, from where the narrow-gauge railway departed towards Berga and Manresa. You'll ride a diesel locomotive.
The Cercs Mines Museum is a museum dedicated to coal mining located in the Sant Corneli colony.
