Routes and itineraries

The municipality of Llívia is located in a splendid natural area, which makes it a great place to discover nature, enjoy mountain cuisine and practise sports. The old quarter of Llívia has been declared a national cultural asset in the Historic Site category. In the streets of El Mercadal, Fontcitrane, Santa Maria and the old Plaça Major, the houses still have the traditional architecture from La Cerdanya: granite doorways with slate roofs, crushed stone façades and wooden balconies and shutters.

The church of the Virgin of the Angels is particularly noteworthy. Other places of interest include Llívia Castle, the Rural Life Museum and Sant Guillem Park.

Llívia is known, among other things, for the Esteve Pharmacy, which is one of the oldest in Europe, probably founded in the early 15th century, although it has been well documented only since 1594. The pharmacy is right next to the Anna Maria Janer Hostel.

Some of the most outstanding places in the local area include the Animal Park in Les Angles, the Fontrabiouse caves, the Odeillo solar furnace and the Little Yellow Train, among other cultural visits that can be made.

And for those who love snow, sledding, skiing and snowboarding, you can enjoy the slopes of La Molina, La Masella and Font Romeu or Les Angles, in France.
