The holiday centre is in the middle of Montnegre i el Corredor Park. It lies in the inland part of El Maresme region, on the border with Vallès Oriental. 

The house is surrounded by open spaces and oak and pine forests. Typical Mediterranean plants and animals in a unique environment. 

The Alfar holiday centre is designed to accommodate all kinds of groups: youth, sports and cultural organisations, schools and families with children. 

Alfar has a terrace, promenades, living rooms, a dining room and rooms with capacity for 4, 6 and 8 people.

Municipal swimming pool in Dosrius: there is a bus stop 15 minutes’ walk from the house.

Indoor multi-sports court, padel and tennis courts and climbing wall with rental option 15 minutes’ walk from the house in the Can Massuet sports area.

Routes and itineraries

  • Hiking: many routes can be followed from the house as it is in the middle of the park. You can visit El Corredor sanctuary, Piedra Gentil dolmen, Las Arenas dolmen or the twisted pine tree. Also near the house is the Fuente del Hierro (Iron Spring), which is on a circular route. There is also a guided route to Vallgorguina. 
  • The Museum of the Forest and Farm Life: museum in Vallgorguina featuring the world of the forest, nature and farmers. 
  • The ice well at Canyamars is one of the best preserved in Catalonia and provides evidence of an industry that has now disappeared: ice supplies. The Rupitera stream is one of the best-preserved riverbanks in the region, where hazelnut trees, grey willows, elder trees and ferns grow together under the alders beside the ice well, which can be visited. 
  • In the village of Canyamars you can enjoy donkey rides, visit a dairy farm or do adventure activities.

Public transport from Barcelona (2h)  
Take any train on the R1 line at Barcelona Sants in the direction Maçanet-Massanes and get off at the Mataró stop. When leaving the station you will find a bus stop belonging to the Sagalés company. Take the number 551 and get off at Urb. Can Massuet /Av. del Far–Av. de Dosrius. Walk along Avinguda del Far until you reach the entrance to the Park (15 minutes). Go down the park road and in front of you, you will find the holiday centre, right next to Sant Andreu d’Alfar rectory.

Private car (45 min.)
Take the C-33, then continue on the AP-7 until exit 12: Cardedeu/La Roca del Vallès. Take the C-35 to Llinars del Vallès, then the B-510 and, at the first roundabout, continue on the B-510 (1.9 km) before turning left. The entrance to the Montnegre i el Corredor Park is here. Continue until you reach the house, about 2 km away.
