HELP US ENSURE THAT CHILDREN’S RIGHTS TO EDUCATION AND LEISURE EXTEND BEYOND THE SCHOOL GATES
To promote the social inclusion of all children and young people, the Pere Tarrés Foundation makes grants to families who cannot pay some or all of the cost of the trips away organised by their school during the academic year.

“Probably the only time our pupils will be able to go away on holiday will be with their class group, on a school trip, as they don’t usually go to any youth group outside school.
We believe each pupil’s experiences during their trip are very special, particularly for those in vulnerable situations. When you ask them what they’ve liked best about the whole school year, they all agree: going on the trip”

“In our school, all the children from infants up to the sixth year (aged 11-12) go on school trips, but we have a very high percentage of families who can’t afford the cost.
The Pere Tarrés Foundation’s grants have made it possible for us to make school trips accessible to pupils who, without this aid, would not be able to have this enriching and necessary experience”
